PLOVDIV: HOW TO GET THERE?

Most international airlines fly regularly to Sofia - Plovdiv is only a two hour bus or car ride away from the capital.

Plovdiv has excellent transport links within the country. You can choose to travel by rail or coach - both offer regular services that operate from early in the morning to late in the evening, some special services are also available during the night.

Sometimes you can obtain cheap flight deals if you fly to Bourgas, particulary during the end of the summer season (coach ride 3.5 hours Bourgas-Plovdiv).

Plovdiv also has an airport that can be reached by a 15 minute taxi ride. However at present there are only charter flights catering mainly for the ski fraternity during the winter.
